Mom in her bliss: Chinese food at Yans

Happy 79 mom!

A Vietnamese restaurant has finally opened in Salmon Arm; she still prefers Chinese.

On Ha Ling, with Lawrence Grassi in the background

Met the venerable Bob Parr on the way down....a gazillion lifetime ascents and still going strong.

Al and Lynne microspiking up to the rockgarden on Lady Mac

Finally broke down and got a TV....a smart one at that.  Then Ramon's friends gave him their old PS3 for his B'day and Uncle Darren and Tia Karen gave him their Wii

Carla got a sewing machine to practice what she is learning at sewing club at school.  Oddly, there seems to have been an influx of pillows proliferating the house.

A fine winter's day on Prairie Mtn.

Mike takes a snow dive.

2 Days at Fernie!

He snowboards about 10% of the time.

Magical morning light

Ramon ready to hike up Knot Chutes

Finally got a ride on the elusive summit Polar chair.  Seems to open about 1 day a week??

Spectacular!

....and deadly

....and other worldly

Apparently, Fernie has the highest cost of any Canadian ski area with regards to avy control.

.....and so it has.  Hopefully there are a few more trips yet to come.

This is not the beach!  They made it part way to Punta Cana, when Annette twisted her knee, getting off the plane in Cowtown.  She left the hospital at 1:30am diagnosed with a torn lateral meniscus.

But thru it all she grins and bears it.

.....and then got chauffeured straight back back to Grande Prairie!

16,000 screaming junior high kids at an anti-bullying Hitmen game.  (Bullying and Hitmen somehow go together?)

Cowtown cityscape

Thai restaurant

Slush Cup in Edmonton.  Ramon with some of his teammates.

Ramon in action

Bronze medal!

Same weekend in Edmonchuck at the U of A Butterdome.  Maria (on the right) racing young ladies less than half her age and still coming in 2nd in the 3000m at the ripe old age of 49.
