July holiday pics

'Inconvenience' store in Montana.  Did a little 'get away from it all' 5 day, 500km tour the day after school was finished.

3 pieces of essential downhill equipment

Jeff and Jeffa stop in for a bite of Alligator Jerky.

Camped beside the Missouri river

That's how my out of shape cycling legs felt the first few days....

Then we headed off on our new tandem to bike Jasper to Lake Louise 230km in 4 days.  The downhill tour with mom driving the sag wagon up to the top of the passes :)

Hammock or swing?

Honeymoon lake

Athabasca river

Bannock, beans and baked potatoes....

Carla's version of smores.  Dark choc, marshmellow bits, melted into a banana!

Then 3 mountains in a row; Jimmy Simpson, Crowfoot and Bow peak.  That is the Peyto glacier coming off the Wapta icefield.

Bow lake

Bivied above treelive to escape the mozzies.

Crowfoot glacier selfie

Bow lake from Bow peak

eek! I'm a Peka!  I live in the summit cairn.

The ladies stepping out for the evening.

No tablet, smart phone or computer screens this summer.  So I hope they are enjoying the real graphics!

About a 15 minute run from home.  Nose creek.

Finally got a fence and a place to hang the hammock.  The nieghborhood kids sure enjoy it.

Camping by Canoe creek in Salmon Arm

Colombia's 'other' drug.

Hiking Enderby cliffs with my good buddy Monty.

Ramon 2nd from left.  Last day of school at Calaway Park.

Don and Deb coming to steal away our kids for the evening.

Raven trail in Salmon Arm

Carla's catching up to dad's size 13

Salmon Arm Wharf

Riding up Mt. Revelstoke, while the rest of the fam rode down the 26km and a 1500m drop.

Fresh from Carla's garden!
